Teneille is not your typical naturopath! She loves nothing more than a spectacular eye fillet steak accompanied by a large glass of Langhorne Creek shiraz – (albeit organic and grass-fed). Life is here to be lived and the food and drink that we enjoy significantly contribute to our level of health and well-being, as well as our ability to live a long and healthy life.
Healthy food must NOT be boring – It must excite you and make you want to try more! So be willing to try anything once and then if you don’t like it, simply try something else. To eat healthily for life you must enjoy it, otherwise you will return to eating junk, processed foods that will simply zap your energy and your health away.
Teneille has been passionately involved in the health and fitness industry for over 15 years and is a degree qualified naturopath and fitness leader. Working and studying through various modalities and roles from naturopathy to fitness, and most recently completing post graduate studies in Health Promotion gives Teneille a unique and well-rounded approach to wellbeing.
Teneille has combined her clinical practice, with writing technical literature on nutritional and herbal biochemistry and seminar presentations around Australia. During these years of clinical practice, Teneille noticed the rapid growth in lifestyle based chronic diseases in Australia. Her treatment and practice are centred around dietary and lifestyle modifications to positively impact these conditions, this is complemented with quality nutritional and herbal supplements to manage and treat both acute and chronic health issues.
Teneille discovered that no amount of supplementation would succeed in maximizing health without positive dietary and physical activity behaviour changes to back it up. However, being a passionate ‘foodie’ herself, she dedicates her spare time with her husband Tony to the creation of exciting and innovative healthy foods that are specific for a variety of health conditions. After Teneille narrowly missed out on being a contestant on ‘Masterchef’ in 2010, The Naturopath’s Kitchen® was born to inspire others to ‘create health with fabulous food’!
